Dr. Phillips performs all types of General Surgery as well as Vascular, Endovascular and Endoscopic Surgery. Dr Phillips has been in practice since 1991 and currently teaches advanced laparoscopic skills and procedures to surgeons throughout the Mid-west, Oregon and Washington. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a recognized expert in the field of minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Phillips has a strong interest in cancer care and is actively involved in genetic cancer screening. He received his medical degree from The University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed his surgical internship and residency training at St Joseph Hospital in Denver, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. He holds teaching appointments as a Clinical Associate Professor and Physicians Assistant at Marquette University in Milwaukee. He served two terms as the Chief of Surgery at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital. He is the Co-Founder of Vector Surgical, LLC, medical device company whose products increase accuracy and efficiency in cancer and laparoscopic surgery.
Dr Phillips is a recognized expert in the field of minimally invasive surgery and is highly respected among his peers and patients. He is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying golfing, hunting, boating and aviation where he donates time as a volunteer pilot for Angel Flight, Inc., serving patients in need of free air transportation for medically related needs.
He is a member of several professional organizations; The Society for Vascular Medicine, The American Society of Breast Surgeons and The Wisconsin Medical Society. Establishing Lumière Laser & Vein Center as a patient focused, technologically advanced and conveniently located health center He believes that strong communications between the physician and patient are critical for a successful relationship, both working towards our common goal of improved health.
