Physician Bio

Michael Cumming, MD

Dr. Cumming is a board certified Radiologist with sub specialty training in interventional radiology. Dr. Cumming was born in Winnipeg, Canada and completed his medical training and residency training at the University of Manitoba. At the University of Minnesota from 1996-97, Dr. Cumming completed his fellowship training in cardiovascular and interventional radiology. From 1999 to 2004, Dr. Cumming served on staff at the University of Minnesota and Veterans Affairs Medical Center as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Interventional Radiology.

In 2004, Dr. Cumming joined Hennepin Faculty Associates and Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Cumming serves on staff at Hennepin County Medical Center and is active on several Minnesota Medical Association, HCMC and HFA committees. He provides mentorship to medical school students through the University of Minnesota's Connections Mentoring Program.

Dr. Cumming received his Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in 2007.

Dr. Cumming's clinical interests are diverse and include peripheral arterial disease, trauma, thoracic and abdominal aneurismal disease, and pelvic and lower extremity venous disease.

Dr. Cumming resides in southwest Minneapolis with his wife and three children. He is actively involved in his children's extracurricular activities and their support organizations. He is an avid athlete who enjoys hockey, skiing, windsurfing, sailing, and long distance running. Dr. Cumming commutes to work year round on his bicycle; enjoying the lakes and greenway.

Stephanie Stanek, RPA

Stephanie Stanek is a Certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant and a Certified Radiologic Technologist. She is a member of the National Society of Radiology Practitioner Assistants.Stephanie Stanek is a CBRPA certified Radiology Practitioner Assistant and an ARRT Certified Radiologic Technologist.

Stephanie Stanek graduated in 2000 from Argosy University as a radiologic technologist. She worked as a technologist at Hennepin County Medical Center for four years before enrolling in the Radiology Practitioner Assistant program at Weber State University. After graduation from the program in 2006, she was hired by Hennepin Faculty Associates. Stephanie currently works as a Radiology Practitioner Assistant at Life Diagnostics Vein Care and Hennepin County Medical Center.
